ALCAT is the spouses and partners organisation of Luxembourgish diplomats. A recurring, even inevitable, point in the life of any agent at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to choose to be posted to a different country.
Naturally, this can be a concern when said agent has a spouse, a partner, a family, or all of the above. ALCAT serves both the agents and their spouses as a fulcrum for information and as a social catalyst, to accompany everyone in every step of the process.
For this purpose, we have gathered and continue to gather information concerning your rights as expats, as well as your obligations. Furthermore, we have regular social gatherings, be it in-person or online, to allow different members posted in the same country to be able to communicate and share their experiences or worries.
At ALCAT, we believe that the social aspect between its members should not, at any point, be ignored or underestimated. We seek to provide a safe space for members to network, while being informed, and ease any career-related life-changing step.

EUFASA Meeting in Dublin 2026
Our members and board are thrilled to participate in the annual EUFASA Conference in the vibrant city of Dublin. EUFASA (European Federation of Spouse Associations) is a dynamic network dedicated to supporting and empowering spouse associations across Europe. Through collaboration, shared resources, and innovative programming, EUFASA fosters community, professional development, and cultural exchange among its members.
The conference is a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, share best practices, and explore new ways to enhance the support and engagement we provide to our own community.
